Use this command to insert an opening in a roof.

Select the Roof Opening From Rectangle button

To create an opening you can draw a rectangle anywhere but it must be inside or overlapping a roof section.

Once you have drawn a rectangle that is inside or overlapping a roof section the opening will be created in the area of the rectangle.
