How to Enter Calculations
Available in: Plus, Pro, Architectural
There are a number of supported methods for entering sizes (X&Y values, angles, lengths, offset values etc.) :-
Direct Input, X, Y, Polar, Distance, Scale Factor, Arrow Key Input
All of these allow for the entry of actual numeric values or a calculation where on entry the resulting value of the calculation is used.
For example you may enter '2+2' or '8/2' or '28/2-10' rather than the answer '4'. Obviously for simpler sums you may choose to just enter the calculated value but the calculations can contain a number of terms and the following operators are supported: +, -, *, /, ^, ( ), SIN, COS, TAN, ASIN, ACOS, ATAN, LN, EXP, SQR.
The following is an list shows examples of the entry format.
Calculation Entered
Value Calculated and Used**
29.2+3.8-9.5
23.5
6.35*3+50
69.05

SQR(40)

3^3+20/4

** Rounded to 2 decimal places in some cases Note: Retail Planner 2.0Draft it uses the rule of 'Bodmas' when for this function i.e. brackets first, then division, then multiplication, then addition and subtraction.
