Client Overview

Auger are a leading drainage, water mains, and subsidence specialist, visiting thousands of properties each year on behalf of UK insurers, as well as providing additional private and commercial services.

Business Challenge

We found that so much time was spent on compiling drawings that were often very similar and could be created in a deterministic way through a set of rules. Cadlogic were able to build an application where we could pass in data and it would produce accurate drawings.

Objectives

Reduce time spent producing drawings through automation.

Free up time for value-added tasks like as technical decision making.

Solution Provided

Cadlogic developed a bespoke application for automation of trial hole and building foundation sketches, to speed us the repetitive workload. In addition, Cadlogic provided a standalone architectural CAD tool with tailored symbols, buttons, and export features built in that fit directly into our workflow. By customising these tools to our workflow and output, we've found a time save an average of 20-30 minutes per technician per drawing! Additionally, the software is simple to use and meets our basic requirements of simple but effective layouts.
